Because HumeCare+ handles sensitive health information — including medical history, prescription records, and body composition data — we've written this policy to be genuinely readable. Here's what we collect, why, and what control remains with you.

1. Information We Collect

Provided directly by you

• Account and identity information — name, email address, date of birth, shipping address.
• Medical and health information provided during the assessment — health history, current medications, weight, BMI, and relevant medical conditions — required for safe prescribing.
• Payment information processed through a PCI-compliant third-party processor. Full card numbers are never stored on Hume Health servers.
• Support communications — any information you share when contacting our clinical team or support.

Collected through the Hume Health app and devices

• Medication tracking logs and dose records.
• Food and nutrition entries you choose to log.
• Body composition data from monthly 3D scans.
• Progress measurements and weight entries.
• App usage analytics — aggregated and anonymized to improve the product.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To assess eligibility and issue a physician-reviewed prescription tailored to your health profile.
• To deliver medication and supportive therapies to your address.
• To monitor your protocol progress and adjust treatment as needed.
• To provide clinical support through the app and consultation calls.
• To process payments and handle refund or guarantee requests.
• To improve the HumeCare+ protocol and Hume Health app through anonymized and aggregated analysis.
• To send transactional communications (confirmations, shipping updates, protocol adjustments) and, with your consent, relevant health content.

3. Your Health Data Is Especially Protected

Medical and health information collected by HumeCare+ is used exclusively to deliver and improve your clinical care. It is never sold to advertisers or third parties for commercial purposes. Access within Hume Health is restricted to clinical and operational personnel with a legitimate need.

Where applicable, HumeCare+ complies with HIPAA requirements governing the handling of protected health information.

4. When Data Is Shared

Your information is shared only in the following limited circumstances:

• Clinical partners — licensed prescribers and pharmacies who require your health information to fulfill your prescription, each bound by strict confidentiality obligations.
• Service providers — technology, payment, and logistics vendors who process data strictly on our behalf under contractual data processing agreements.
• Legal obligations — when required by court order, law, or regulation.
• Business transfers — in the event of a merger or acquisition, with the same privacy commitments carried forward.

5. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Our systems are hosted in secure, HIPAA-compliant environments. Access is restricted to authorized personnel and regularly audited. We promptly notify affected users of any security incident that poses material risk to their data.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal and health data. To exercise these rights, email privacy@humecare.com. Marketing communications always include a one-click unsubscribe. Requests are processed within 30 days. Some data (such as prescription records) may be retained longer as required by medical record-keeping regulations.

7. Cookies

humecare.org uses cookies for session management, user preferences, and aggregated site analytics. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some site and app functionality.

8. Children

HumeCare+ is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor's data has been submitted, contact us immediately and we will remove it.

9. Changes To This Policy

This policy is updated periodically. Each revision is reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes are communicated directly to active members via email or in-app notification before taking effect.
